Born in upstate New York, Joe Scala enlisted in the United States Navy at 18 years old, and he served his country faithfully throughout his enlistment. He was attached to an elite team in Virginia where he finished his tour under Chief of Naval Operations Thomas Hayward.

Once he completed his service, Joe began a series of entrepreneurial endeavors, including the development and growth of a major apparel company, a partnership in a production company in Los Angeles, and was an advocate for the Hollywood Stuntman’s Association, where they assisted California in creating the “Say No to Drugs” campaign started by Nancy Reagan. Joe also became involved with several local charities.

In 1996, Joe made the move to Henderson, NV, and since has worked hard to establish himself in the local business community. Not only has he been successful in his hands on approach to architectural design and general contracting in both ground up commercial and high end residential construction, but he has also made a name for himself in the automotive business, where he restores vintage cars for resale and for private owners.

Joe is an avid pet enthusiast who has devoted himself to animal rescue. You will rarely see Joe without his faithful companion, Max the timber wolf.

As an entrepreneur, Joe takes care of business. He knows what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, and most importantly how it should be done. Joe’s mantra is “Work boots, jeans, and calluses”. It’s time to take our city back from the bureaucrats and put a leader into City Hall with the knowhow and the elbow grease to bring true prosperity to Henderson. Joe Scala is that candidate.
